Cold, Sun and Billie

Though she's a two and a half year old now, she's still just a puppy.
A complete and absolute puppy.
Because of the lovely weather (it's pretty cold, but it's beautiful with the sunshine!) we decided to go out for a bit, just to run around the yard.
Billie was excited to put it mildly.

30 Day Blog Challenge - On Being Single

Heya, found this interesting 30 day challenge on Pinterest and thought I might try it out. It's just a 30 day post challenge, so a topic for each day and do one blog post on that said topic. I might not do one every day, but I will go according to the list.

So I'll start with Day 1:
I am single, so will have to discuss that. I've been single for a while now, I tend to have really short relationships if that, and though I really do like being with someone special, I don't want to be in a relationship for the sake of being in a relationship. So if I don't honestly think I could survive with someone indefinitely I don't even bother starting something up; I don't think it's fair for anyone.

Anyway, I like being single. Sure it gets a tad lonely sometimes listening to all these taken people talk about their happy relationships, but no, I'm not alone. I would probably feel lonely in a relationship as well. At least at times. And okay, I don't get to hug and kiss and cuddle and whatnot with anyone, but that's mostly fine. If I feel really desperate for affection I have a big teddy bear at home willing to hug me. Sure she's a dog, but still. Warm+fuzzy+enormous = good hug.

Fine it's not as good as from a guy/girl you love, but it's enough for desperation at least!

I've been single for most of my life, so I've gotten extremely used to it. It gives a level of freedom, I wouldn't have in a relationship. Not that I couldn't deal with that, I don't need to go out and flirt with anyone, but still, it is a plus for being single. I don't need to make time for anyone, I don't need to move in with anyone (I can stay in my lovely house and enjoy my quiet alone time) and I don't need to feel guilty about having a bad day or landing in hospital - because I don't want to hurt anyone I love so having to tell something like that to a loved one is for me pretty painful.

And to be honest, I really do need my quiet alone time. Just because I'm really social and these days mostly an extravert, doesn't mean I want to spend my entire life in the company of others. Ooooh no.
Which is why I'd be perfectly content (at least for a while) in a long distance relationship. Sadly people these days don't seem to value the deep emotional connection you get with someone, if you are away from them for longer. People just want everything RIGHT NOW EVERYTHING. It's very frustrating, how are people these days to impatient that they can't wait like three months for someone? What about a year? Ooh no. It's weird in my opinion. If you love someone, you love them no matter what distance.

Yeah, I really do like being single. And I'd like being in a relationship just as much. I'm just not in a relationship. It's one those things - when you're single, you think how lovely it would be to be with someone and when you're with someone, you think how lovely it would be to be single. I don't really care either way. I'm not deprived of love in my life and I love plenty of people. Just not in a romantic way. Besides, it's kinda uncomfortable telling my dad I have a boyfriend and he's coming over (especially 'cause none of my boyfriends have been exactly "normal") so it's quite a bit easier to just not date anyone and be happy. And I am. Quite happy with my life.

......but I'd still like to meet someone wonderful, some nice guy who smiles a lot and is a geek and gets my brand of craziness.

I workout so I can keep up with the Doctor

Finally managed to take some pictures and hey here's my favourite items I shopped for these past months! Aren't they just awesome? It's so awesome going to the gym in these and flaunting your NERDINESS for everyone to see! Love 'em.

Also my email doesn't want to work right now, so if you want to know where they were from, just ask in a comment and I'll get to you as soon as I get my email working! Because the store confirmation is in my email if you're wondering.
They were $50, no shipping, and a bit over 4€ as customs taxes.

Yesterday, I bought two lipsticks from KICKS in Helsinki. One black one and one two-tone one with a side that's golden and the other silver! It's so awesome and looks so dreadful on me. I doubt I'll use them much, but it is lovely having them. They're fun. Maybe for Halloween?

Just look how horrible the gold/silver one looks! I look completely dead and the green eyeshadow isn't helping! Rather fantastic, rather disgusting.

Also that's how much my hair has grown! It's almost to my shoulders! I can't wait for it to actually grow even longer.

Why do I always do this?

So about two months ago I dyed my hair again - bright red. It was fine for a few days, but I realised that it was way way too orange for my liking, so I bought a new dye. And it ended up a dark magenta.
Okay, I'm quite happy with the colour, it's really pretty.
However, I still have no idea why I keep dyeing my hair red when I really really want green hair again! I mean seriously need to have green hair. I think about it most days and it's really frustrating 'cause it's so unimportant and yet so constant in my mind.
Have to dye again.

Anyway, I used a few Directions colours for the red (no pics I'm afraid): vermillion and fire and a third I can't remember. For the pink one it was rose red, which isn't that pink but it ended up being really pink in my hair. I used the Directions bleaching kit for the first time and I was constantly afraid my hair would fall off but everything went perfectly fine and looked good. Took a lot less time too to bleach!

The rose red I used is a bit of a hassle though. For some reason it doesn't want to stay in my hair whatsoever, everything in our house is pink now! If I so much as brush my fingers through my hair, my hand is so pink that it stains everything I touch! It's horrible. Absolutely horrible. And this is definitely the first time something like this happens.
Although it might be because I don't wash my hair as often during autumn and winter, since it's pretty cold and it's so uncomfortable in the cold shower. And my hair doesn't bleed for like a day after I wash it, so it might be caused by oil in the scalp. I don't know. It's annoying anyhow!

Here's what I'd love to have:

Today's thoughts on sushi, fangirling and diet

I had a wonderful day today.
Seriously.
I skipped my class to listen to a panel discussion about religion. Which ended up being one of the most boring panel discussions I have ever heard. It also brought a lot of thoughts to my mind about last night but yeah it was dull so we skipped the rest of the panel and went to eat SUSHI.
I.love.sushi.

It was fantastic. It also ruined my day's dieting which brings me to the next point of the day:
1. When I diet, I notice feeling slightly light-headed. Good since I used to eat way too much and now it's normal
2. When I get light-headed - I start fangirling. No seriously, I become a little teenager going "OMIGODHE'SSOHOT" while scrolling through Tumblr. It's kinda worrying since ordinarily I'm not like, I'm not a huuuuge fan of anything, and I feel a bit too old to be going this crazy about a person I'll probably never meet. Though good God do I want to meet them!

Wanna know who's on my list of 'letsgetcrazyexcitedaboutasinger'?
No?
Well I'll show you anyways.

I.am.ridiculous.

Alright and end this weird rant there's two songs:
One from fangirlinducingguy #1 Machine Gun Kelly (song's a cover version with Kellin Quinn: Swing Life Away)
And one from fangirlinducingguy #2 Oliver Sykes, singer of Bring Me the Horizon (song's Deathbeds)

Tomorrow I'll have some actual photos for you! Oh stuff and me! Oh yay finally I'm photographing something again jeez it's been so long.
