Twentythird Day of Christmas: DIY Tree Paper Ornament

If you've been following the series of diys here on my blog, this one will be super easy for you to do. All you need is some paper (or old empty toilet or other paper rolls), glue, possibly colour and some ribbon to tie it to the tree. If you want it exactly as in the picture, you'll need strong ribbon for the rolls, glue (possible a glue gun) and masking pin to mask the glued parts.

Twentysecond Day of Christmas: DIY Christmas Song Coasters

Again, I'm afraid, no tutorial for this one, but it's an easy one, if you have any crafting skills. Just get some old song texts, or why not write your own, and glue them on to an already existing coaster you don't like, or preferrably, get something that could be used as a coaster and glue them on that. I suggest using a decoupage glue for the top layer, you know, just in case...

Twentyfirst Day of Christmas: DIY Reindeer Beer Bottles

Okay, so this is just a really random diy I found, but I think it's awesome. All you need is a bit of imagination and your beer bottles can transform in to Rudolp. Or maybe moose, I don't really know if you're more into moose than reindeers but here you go:

(Things you need: brown pipe cleaner, pink paint, eyes, red little furry balls, tin foil)

Twentieth Day of Christmas: DIY Photoframe and Wreath

For this I don't think you need the text, unless you'd like it so. I would rather put a photo in the middle, something Christmas-y, like a Christmastree. You can basically put anything you want in the frame.
Now the wreath is a bit trickier, you need some heavy set wire and some relatively thin wire, to get all the branches to keep together and the leaves, so they don't fall off. Now you could use a glue gun for parts as well, but I prefer never using my gluegun unless absolutely necessary...

For the stars you need some white pipe cleaner, suitable size in your opinion and then start rolling them up into starlooking thingies!
I am so bad at explaining things, aren't I?

Nineteenth Day of Christmas: DIY Golden Cup

Excuse me for the inviting yet slightly wrongful title, you won't win the Golden Cup with this, but you will maybe learn how to paint a cup with golden paint! You will need a cup, some painter's tape and some golden (preferrably sprayable) paint.

Eighteenth Day of Christmas: DIY gold glitter heart ornament ball

This is again an easy peasy one, just get some glue, make into a heart shape on your ornament ball and start pouring glitter on it! Once you're happy, let it dry and then shake of the excess glitter off. You can choose other forms as well, like ginger bread men or stars or anything, and none have to be small or big, just choose what you want to glitterise!

The below photo has been made with actual gold leaves, instead of glitter, but I think finding glitter is much easier, so I won't even go into gold leaves here.

Seventeenth Day of Christmas: DIY Map Rose

This one I'm afraid has no tutorial attached, but you can try to figure it out yourself. If you've been doing roses out of anything else over the years, you'll know how this works. I can do one myself, but I really  can't explain how I'm doing it, so no tutorial...sorry.

Fifteenth Day of Christmas: DIY Newspaper Balls

These are very similar to the other DIY I showed you guys before, but this time, you're just rolling newspapers over the balls! They're really really cute! I need to make some of these since they're so simple to make.

Thirteenth Day of Christmas: DIY Roll Christmas Tree

This DIY came from Being Zhenya. I won't be doing this for Christmas myself, already too many projects up and coming, you'll see them maybe, but this is really cute and hopefully some of you can do this!

Twelfth Day of Christmas: DIY Fancy Golden Leaves

This one is again super duper easy: just spray paint any leaf golden with a gold spray paint. Or why not many leaves, or why not feathers? Just spray paint anything golden and it'll look amazing!

Eleventh Day of Christmas: DIY Christmas Decor Flowers

I found these beautiful decor flowers for Christmas on Pinterest. The tutorial is originally from Happily Hello, so you can check that out there! This might be a bit too challenging for me, especially with all the other things I need to do for Christmas, but maybe some of you are good enough with paper to do this! And it's all toddler and child safe!
So here's the very origami inspired Christmas swans and flowers, beautiful are they not?

Tenth Day of Christmas: DIY Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer

This one is from Dani Naschold, but it's such a cute DIY Christmas thing, I just had to share it!
I think you get the drift of how it's done without me explaining it ;)

Ninth Day of Christmas: Angel feather rings DIY

This one is sort of beyond me, but here you go. These are quite popular (or were) in Scandinavian countries back in the day. And the in my opinion horrid angels can be found in Finland everywhere.

Sixth Day of Christmas: Pine cones! DIY

Now here's a really easy DIY for all of you out there! And this one I definitely will be doing for Christmas. It's painting your own pine cones, isn't that just the easiest thing you've ever heard?
If you don't have spray paint, then don't worry, get a bit of some other paint and maybe a big brush and spritz them! Or dab them with glue and throw some glitter on!

Original DIY tutorial for glitter cones found here: The Wilson World

Fifth Day of Christmas: DIY Ornamentball with fabric

For the fifth DIY of my Christmas advent calendar I have something really cute and special for you, that I might go and try myself when I get the time. It's an ornament ball for your Christmas tree to hang on the beautiful branches!

This one is really simple - just get yourself some old fabric (or new if you don't have old) and a ball. Just any ball will do, but of course you can go fancy and get some real DIY ball for you.

Then fold the fabric over the ball and tie with a ribbon.
You can add anything to it, glue some glitter on or add some nice pretty leaves or make some more ribbons to go around it, the world of DIY is your oyster!

Fourth Day of Christmas: DIY Snowflakes

You know those annoying snowflakes you aaaalllways had to make in primary school? Get a piece of white paper and start cutting holes in it? And remember to not cut on that one side!
Anyway, they can be a lot  more fun than back in the day, and here's to show you why:

All you have to do is take the pattern and cut the paper using that pattern to get the shape you want. Now I'm not one for rules, so I usually go with the primary school style and just cut anything that looks nice (mostly stars and hearts), but this is the fancy way of doing it, and the prettier way, if I dare say so. Way over my skill level, but maybe one of you is better than me that regard!

Third Day of Christmas: DIY Sparkly Branches

I'm sure a lot of you already know this type of DIY, but I must confess, I've never tried it. I've never even sprayed fake snow on anything. I'm really not the type. I have glittered a pair of shoes, but that's as far as it ever went. Although maybe at school we made something out of pine cones, not sure though.
I got this tutorial via Pinterest, again, it's my go to place for DIY tutorials these days, but the tutorial itself can be found in the following weblink.
