GinaTricot Nail Polish Review

So I bought this nail polish from GinaTricot with the idea in my head that it's probably not going to be very good, but I really needed some nail polish that day, so I thought why not try. And I wasn't dissappointed!

I bought the shade 123 Blue Bug, which is actually a green nail polish that bends slightly towards yellow and brown. It's absolutely beautiful on!

+ cheap
+ good brush, easy to apply
+ good coverage, doesn't necessarily need a second coat
+ stays long (and that's saying something, cause usually my nails repell nail polish)
+ easy to find since there are so many GinaTricots
+ dries relatively fast, even with second coat on

I couldn't find any minuses whatsoever, so there you go, it's an excellent nail polish!

Manly Eyeshadow Review part 4/4

The green line was a disappointment except for a few very pigmented colours, but the two lowest lines are absolutely divine, they stay really well and they are really bright colours.
All in all this make up palette is definitely worth its small price and more!

Glamour Doll Eyes review

I am just super excited about these colours - I don't need to write a review: I think they're fabulous in every way imaginable and close to being as perfect as Geek Chic Cosmetics.

Manly Eyeshadow Review part 3/4

Now we're going through the top three of the lower section - so the two blues and the one green line

I was impressed enough by the two top lines, since the colours are relatively easy to separate from each other and they go on really well. They also keep very well and stick to the skin which would suggest that they don't fade to easily.

The bottom green line however was a disappointment in sorts, the first colours are clearly not visible, which is a shame because they are beautiful yellowy green on the palette and would be great in use - if they'd show properly.

Manly Eyeshadow Review part 2/4

Here is the second part of my review of the Meidu Cosmetics Manly 120 colour eyeshadow and blush palette.

The three lines in the top middle are now in question. The neutrals are actually quite impressive, since all the different shades of brown really are different shades, different colours, unlike the violet line, which seems to consist mostly of the same colour, and some of the colours end up a lot darker on skin than they are on the palette and vice versa, which does not impress me much. I think the colour on the palette should at least consistently be bad in the same manner, instead of differing all the time.
The pink and red colours are impressive though, they are very pigmented and don't really want to come of the skin without cleanser!

Manly Eyeshadow Review part 1/4

I bought this 120 colour palette a few years back, but I've used it very little. I haven't even tried half of the colours, so I decided I'd review it now, so I manage to actually try out all the colours and know what they look like on skin.

In this first part I'm reviewing the three first rows from top. The first row was a bit of a disappointment since only the white and the black where unique, the rest were just very easily fading uncolours if you will, and didn't show very well.
The two other rows on the other hand were really quite impressive, the colours really pop and I don't even have any eyeshadow base in use!

The dark blue ones at the end were slightly disappointing, I mean - they're not dark at all!

Though relatively similar, this row was impressive, very eyecatching colours!

Makeup Review: Geek Chic Cosmetics

Geek Chic Cosmetics is by far my favourite indie makeup brand, and this was my second order from them. I have already done one review in my previous blog, but I think a new one is in order.
First of all I only ordered colours I needed - colours I would use on a regular bases or that would emphasise the ones I already have.
Second of all, I ordered a lot of make up, the whole set of Lord of the Rings, so I'm not going to name them all.

However, I have tried to keep them somewhat in order when you see the swatches on my arm. Some aren't as visible as others, since they are very pale colours. But I only used a small amount and they are extremely pigmented.

So on to the plusses and minuses!
+ easy to order
+ fast order delivery
+ free swatches with order
+ very pigmented colours
+ loads of glitter
+ a huge amount of colours to choose from

- packaging is a bitch - the envelope is very tight and each colour is sealed with plastic (I broke my nail trying to open them)
- company in the US - border control wants a piece of the cake so big orders equal big taxes

Day XI: Max Factor Whipped Creme Foundation review

I'm a subscriber of Kauneus&Terveys for a short while now and this time I got a small sample of MaxFactor's Whipped Creme Foundation in colour 55 Beige.

First of all, I almost never even try the sample foundation I get in magazines, since they're always just dreadful for me. I don't wear foundation, ever, the only thing I wear is a really small amount of BB cream and even that only between my nose and my upper lip and on my jaw.

This, however, looked promising, maybe because I was so bored and thought oh well might as well try. And it's a good thing I tried!

I thought the colour would be way too dark for me, since I'm usually quite pale in the face and beiges are usually very dark and slightly too peachy for me (my skin is very yellow), but suited me perfectly.
It makes my skin look absolutely flawless, it's really easy to apply, goes on so easily it felt like I was painting my face and it's really really light. I usually find foundations to be way too heavy and too thick and feel quite pressured when I'm wearing them, but this, I've had it on now for almost an hour and still don't feel like my face is covered in foundation and starting to get dry. It also isn't getting dry. It's exactly as it was an hour ago.

Also, the colour beige is quite yellow and very light, so it suits my skintone exactly. I didn't even have to do my neck fully, because it just was the exact same colour! I felt amazed.

Personally, I think this might be THE foundation for me, if I ever choose to leave my Maybelline 8-1 BB cream.

Also I did myself a french braid after I took a shower, hopefully my hair will be lovely and curly tomorrow when it's dry! I love having my hair sort of curly, because it makes it look thicker without making me look like a poodle. I do get an afro after shower if I don't use a lot of hair conditioner or if I'm dumb enough to blowdry my hair after the shower...but I like having  volume in it, just not like that.
