Hospitals and Printers

So today I had two appointments in Meilahti - one for the doctor at the Pain Clinic, and one for a stomach MRI. Now seeing the doctor was no problem, she's lovely and friendly and quite talkative, and I've also gotten rid of a lot of pain, so now I don't have to take that many painkillers and she was really happy about that.

The MRI however, not my favourites. First they want to stick a hose in your nose and down into your bowels. Helll no. So I drank the stuff they wanted to pour down that aforementioned hose. Anyway, no problem there, drank the stuff (mannitol to be exact) and got a few preparing sedatives, because I was getting really really nervous. Like I've said before, I have hospitalfobia and just get panicky when in hospitals.
I was quite calm up to the point where they had to stick an IV in me for the medicine that'll show up in the scans, and just (big surprise) couldn't find a single vein.
They hit a couple, but nothing that would work, and so they had to call an anaesthesiologist to put my IV in and good God did that take long. All the while me trying to swallow my panic attack, which at the end ended up coming inside the magnet tube (which for someone not suffering from claustrophobia shouldn't be a problem).

Anyway, I survived after a lot of  crying and hyperventilating, and we went and bought me a new printer with my dad afterwards. Now I have a nice Samsung coloured laser printer! It's the best we could find here and I'm so so happy to have it!

OOTD 7.1.2014

Admission to my new studies!

Today was the first day of admissions to English degree programmes here in Finland, so I was up early and shining (at three am mind you, couldn't sleep a wink afterwards) and now have succesfully applied myself to four different vocational degrees in the area of international business.
I have my entrance exams in April so we'll see how I do then!

I also finally wrote and sent all of my essays that I've been procrastinating about for the last month and should in the course of a week or two get my BA in English Philology. I am super duper happy right now! I can't even explain how excited I am that I finally finished my studies for my BA and I don't possibly have to go to Tampere to study ever again!

Three Kings and Yesterday's Shopping

I would really like having a real three kings' day, but sadly tomorrow I have an MRI of my stomach, so I'm not allowed to eat anything today. Again. I am so hungry and the weirdo protein drinks made with water are really getting tiring (not even sure if I'm allowed to drink those), and yeah. Not a good day.

But yesterday was lovely, we had a great time shopping and driving around with my bf, and here's a few photos from today:

Art of Burlesque

I need some little help here. I'm going to have a burlesque themed photoshoot in a few weeks, and I'm not really sure what I should take with me as clothes and props go.
Do you guys have any ideas and suggestions? I've been studying photos from Tumblr (below) but have still no real clue. Help?
